Keystone Library and McDonal's Development Project
Architectural Design

Project Overview
This multifaceted project exemplifies the intersection of urban design, sustainability, and strict regulatory compliance. The goal was to design a public library complex that integrates seamlessly with a McDonald’s drive-through, a retention pond for stormwater management, and a green roof system. The site, located in Noblesville, Indiana, required adherence to commercial building codes, ADA regulations, and environmental sustainability standards.
technical insights
Integrated Site Planning: The site plan balances a 70–80-space parking lot, a McDonald’s drive-through, and pedestrian zones while ensuring ADA compliance with 13 wheelchair-accessible spots.
Architectural Innovation: The library includes spacious reception areas, reading nooks, and meeting rooms, with seamless accessibility through entrances, vestibules, elevators, and stairways.
Sustainable Design Features: A retention pond manages stormwater effectively, and a green roof reduces urban heat while improving energy efficiency.
McDonald’s Integration: Detailed plans ensure the drive-through functions smoothly alongside library operations, optimizing both flow and aesthetics.
Mechanical and Electrical Systems: Plumbing and electrical plans were tailored for dual functionality, enhancing efficiency for both library and McDonald’s facilities.
Interior and Exterior Visualization: High-quality renderings capture the inviting atmosphere and sleek design of both the interior and exterior spaces.
